On behalf of the Connecticut Veterans Legal Center, I would like to invite you to join us for our second annual Wine Tasting Event. This year’s program will be held on Thursday, November 10, 2011 at 6:30pm at the John Slade Ely House on Trumbull Street in New Haven, CT.

At this year’s event, we will be honoring Francis Brady, Past President of the Connecticut Bar Association, for his tireless and indispensible support of the Center and its mission.  I am also pleased to announce that Governor Dannel Malloy will be speaking at the event.

The Connecticut Veterans Legal Center is a nonprofit organization which helps veterans recovering from homelessness and mental illness overcome legal barriers to stable housing, health care and income. In the last two years we have served over two hundred and fifty veterans, helping many stay in their homes and connect with life-changing benefits. We have also started a state-wide estate planning program with the Connecticut Bar Association and a Discharge Upgrade Program to help veterans correct and amend their military records.

In order to continue this important work on behalf of Connecticut veterans we need your help. We receive no federal or state money and last year corporate sponsorship made up almost a third of our budget. We must raise money for operating expenses so that we can continue to serve veterans across the state. Please consider one of the sponsorship levels.
